Val Wall is Director of Friendship Fields, an amazing program associated with Friends University that allows college-age adults with disabilities to experience college life while also offering Friends University students the opportunity to work with special needs students. Students enroll in Friendship Fields because they want to go to college, and Friends University truly believes lifelong learning and social interaction is important for everyone. Currently, they offer two unique curriculum options for adults with disabilities.
Interestingly, Val once babysat my young sons in Hutchinson, KS and was a student in my English classes at Buhler High School. We have always maintained a mutual admiration society and are fast friends and colleagues.
